Around 2017ish I remember seeing this silly thread on 4chan's /jp/ board that was like "Post your favorite character on strange devices" or something similar. Not long before hand I had picked up a gameboy printer at a local retro game store and it actually still had some of it's thermal paper! This was pretty exciting at the time because I had always wanted to try the print option out on the game boy camera, and printed a couple goofy things.
So decided to record this little video for them, and subsequently won the thread.
Here are some still images with the color adjusted so you can see it a little better. Everything that printed on this paper seemed to come out very faint and recording it in a dark room didn't really help too much.
I wonder if this print coming out so faint is because of the sticky papers age? At some point if I can get my hands on some typical unused receipt thermal paper, maybe I can cut it down to size and see if its any better in the game boy printer.
And also here is a clearer picture of the Madotsuki I was trying to print, I tried to pick out a simple artwork so it would come out clearer on the Gameboy camera's limited resolution.
